Our advertising specialists work alongside industry-leading project and account managers, social media specialists, content and creative specialists and other digital experts to create and build impactful advertising campaigns. In this role, you will serve as an advertising specialist on projects. You will work closely with the social media specialists to integrate best-in-class paid social and digital media practices — as well as collaborate directly with clients on strategy, processes, performance, and best practices. 

This position is based in our lovely downtown Washington, DC office.

Advertising Specialist - Role Description:

The Advertising Specialist is a hands-on role that requires knowledge of social and digital media advertising platforms and capabilities. This role also requires a passion for fostering a culture of collaboration, coordinating with the rest of the media team and other teams at Social Driver. Lastly, it requires confidence in setting up paid social and digital media advertisements, including pixel installations and more.

Specifically, you will:

  • Manage day-to-day operations of digital advertising campaigns, including: Pixel installations, launching, monitoring and optimizing ads, managing ad spend versus budgets, and reporting on key performance indicators.  
  • Ensure the highest level of quality and that service level commitments are met.   
  • Clearly communicate advertising campaign performance through quantitative and qualitative data reporting and provide ongoing recommendations for optimization.  
  • Research and build target audiences and keyword lists based on the clients’ needs and objectives. 
  • Coordinate with multiple departments (creative, content, account teams, etc.) to construct high-performing advertising campaigns. 
  • Provide digital advertising knowledge on platforms including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Snapchat, Google, Outbrain, Taboola and other leading platforms. 

You will report directly to our Director of Social and Digital Media.

Requirements:  

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 2 - 5 years of advertising experience required 
  • Agency and/or consulting experience preferred 
  • Strong verbal and written communications 
  • Client management experience preferred 
  • Knowledge and experience with social (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Snapchat) and digital (Google, YouTube) advertising platforms
  • Native advertising experience is a plus 
  • Knowledge and experience with conversion tracking and pixel installation, executing successful digital advertising campaigns 
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics and web traffic metrics   
  • Experience working with nonprofits and/or association clients is a plus.
