Social Driver is looking for a motivated team member to join our sales development team. The role requires experience in establishing, fostering, and maintaining relationships with leadership-level contacts at large corporations, nonprofits, and/or associations. The right person for this role will have experience building relationships in Healthcare, Advocacy, or Policy.

In this role, you will help us build those relationships and uncover opportunities for Social Driver to partner with new clients to achieve their goals through digital strategies. 


This position will be based out of our Washington, DC office.


Sales Development Executive

In this role, you will be a key member of the sales team responsible for building new relationships and generating new sales opportunities with large corporations, nonprofits, and/or associations. 


This is a team-oriented role—you will work closely with agency leaders, account managers, and subject matter experts. After you identify a new opportunity or key relationship, you’ll be responsible for connecting the opportunity to the other members of the sales team and helping ensure a smooth transition to the account managers. 


As a part of this position, you will provide the following:


  • Building relationships and generating new leads.  This position is responsible for developing a target list, outreach plan, and sales plan for opportunity generation as well as building new business; acquiring new partners via cold outreach and networking.

  • Organizing and attending live/virtual events. This position is responsible for taking part in networking and educational events.

  • Scheduling and leading capabilities presentations. This position is responsible for scheduling and leading capabilities presentations, looping in other members of the team as necessary.

  • Share what you know. The delivery teams are always looking to better serve our clients so they will be looking to you to share all the information you learned in the prospecting process—this will include editing client briefs, transitioning knowledge to account managers, and attending the internal project kickoff meeting.

Skills/Requirements

  • Prior B2B sales experience with a proven track record of developing opportunities and managing a pipeline 
  • Experience building relationships in the Health, Advocacy, or Policy sectors. 
  • Proven ability to act as trusted partner and consultant to Director and C-Level executives
  • Expert-level knowledge of digital marketing strategies across social media and websites
  • Expert-level knowledge of campaign strategy, digital advertising, and SEO best practices
  • Working knowledge of popular website tools and CMSs, such as WordPress and Drupal
  • Strong communications and customer service skills with the ability to interact with technical people, business stakeholders, clients, etc. An ability to look beyond face-value conversations; read between the lines and listen for what isn’t being said.
  • Strong presentation and speaking skills, including expert knowledge in Google Slides, Keynote, or PowerPoint. 
  • Ability to adapt to new situations, solve problems on the fly, and communicate with those around you. Teamwork and agility required.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a sense of perspective.
  • Demonstrated business planning abilities (developing timelines, using CRMs, sharing notes, etc.)
  • Desire to be a leader, providing feedback, identifying growth opportunities, and helping to up-level skill sets of your co-workers.
