In this role, you will be responsible for delivering best-in-class social media community management for clients by providing hands-on execution while leading and developing a team of social media specialists.
This job is based in our downtown Washington, DC office.
Social Media Management:
Social Driver provides a variety social media services and solutions to our clients. Our services range from auditing a client’s social media performance and making recommendations, consulting on building personalized social media programs and campaigns, training clients on social media best-practices, on-location/live social media coverage, and executing full-service of channel management and ongoing reporting. Our clients expect that we deliver results ranging from driving more website traffic, answering customer questions, growing the number followers, activating partners, activating grassroots supporters, and growing social media reach. This team provides services to support all of these client goals.
Social Driver’s social media delivery is a cross functional organization. We divide our delivery among multiple teams, each with expert-level expertise, including teams focused on social media management, graphic design and video production, content writing, and advertising.
This team specifically, the Social Media Management team (internally, we call it the Social Media Studio), is responsible for the social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Messenger, etc.), and can also include email newsletter and blog management. The other teams provide the content, graphics, and other support.
For each client, the Social Media Management Team is responsible for crafting channel-based social media management plans, training clients, scheduling and posting content, community management activities, follower growth activities, reporting of results, adjusting strategies, and ensuring that each client has quality social media delivery that achieves their goals.

The Senior Social Media Specialist is a hands-on execution role that requires expert-level knowledge of social media and community management. This role is also a team lead role that requires a passion for growing and mentoring less-experienced members of the team, coordinating with other teams and leadership at Social Driver, and leading client-facing conversations including intake meetings, check-in calls, and presentations.
This role is based in DC but does require travel from time to time. It also sometimes requires working outside normal business hours to support events as they unfold such as with conferences/events or breaking news.
